1. In this question, you will be assessed on the quality of your organisation, communication and accuracy in writing.

The sizes of angles \(a\) and \(b\) in the triangle shown below are in the ratio 2 : 3.

Calculate the size of each of the angles \(a\) and \(b\).
You must show all your working. [3 + 2 OCW]

\((a + b = 180 - 25) = 155\)	B1	B1 for sight of 155.
\((a =)\ \dfrac{155}{5} \times 2\) OR \((b =)\ \dfrac{155}{5} \times 3\) or equivalent	M1	FT ‘their stated 155’.
\(a = 62(^\circ)\) AND \(b = 93(^\circ)\)	A1	Allow M1A0 if the angles are reversed and not corrected.
Organisation and Communication.	OC1	For OC1, candidates will be expected to: present their response in a structured way explain to the reader what they are doing at each step of their response lay out their explanation and working in a way that is clear and logical write a conclusion that draws together their results and explains what their answer means
