| Answer | Marks | Part marks and guidance | |
|---|---|---|---|
| 150 | 2 | M1 for \(\dfrac{5}{9} \times 270\) | If they start with \(\dfrac{4}{9} \times 270\) apply scheme to their values Values must be positive |
| 120 | 1 | FT 270 – their 150 | |
| 89 and 73 | 1 | FT their 150 – 61 and their 120 – 47 | |
| Answer | Marks | Part marks and guidance | |
|---|---|---|---|
| \(61 + 47 = 108\) AND | 1 | Breakdown methods must be complete, correct and contain a calculation | |
| \(\dfrac{108}{270} \times 100 = 40[\%]\) or \(\dfrac{108}{270} = 0.4 = 40[\%]\) or \(270 \times 0.4 = 108\) oe | 1 | Do not accept e.g. 0.4 of 270 = 108 or 40% of 270 = 108 (calculation not seen) Do not accept e.g. 40% \(\times\) 270 Working may be seen next to diagram | |
