‘(the LCM of 12, 18 and 24) ÷ (the HCF of 36 and 54)’.

(LCM of 12, 18 and 24 = ) 72 or equivalent, e.g. 2×2×2×3×3.	B2	B1 for any other common multiple identified. e.g 144, 432, 5184 etc.
(HCF of 36 and 54 = ) 18 or equivalent, e.g. 2×3×3.	B2	B1 for any other common factor identified. i.e. 2, 3, 6, 9. Do not accept 1.
(72 ÷ 18 = ) 4	B1	F.T. only if at least one B2 gained. B0 for 72/18. Unsupported 4 gains 5 marks.
