Answer: D \(\dfrac{10}{11}\)
The difference between the given options and 1 is \(\dfrac{1}{8}\), \(\dfrac{1}{7}\), \(\dfrac{1}{10}\), \(\dfrac{1}{11}\) and \(\dfrac{1}{10}\) respectively. As \(\dfrac{1}{11}\) is the smallest of these fractions, \(\dfrac{10}{11}\) is closest to 1.
