Additional guidance
| May be seen as a set of equivalent fraction numerators eg \(\dfrac{1}{5} = \dfrac{6}{30}\) and \(\dfrac{5}{8} = \dfrac{10}{16} = \dfrac{100}{160} = \dfrac{50}{80}\), \(6 + 50 = 56\) eg \(\dfrac{1}{5} = \dfrac{6}{30}\) and \(\dfrac{5}{8} = \dfrac{10}{16} = \dfrac{100}{160} = \dfrac{50}{80}\), answer \(\dfrac{56}{110}\) | M1A1A1 M1A1A0 |
| 6 out of 30 or 50 in 80 56 out of 110 | M1A1 M1A1A1 |
| Up to M1 may be awarded for correct work, with no or incorrect answer, even if seen amongst multiple attempts |
