| Scheme | Marks |
|---|---|
45 ÷ 1.5 (= 30) or 5 × 12 (= 60) or \(\dfrac{64}{1.5}\left(= \dfrac{128}{3} = 42.6(6\ldots)\right)\) | M1 |
| “30” × 64 (= 1920) or “42.6(6…)” × 45 (=1920) | M1 |
| “1920” + “60” (= 1980) or 3000 – 1920 – 60 (=1020) | M1 |
eg \(\dfrac{3000 - \text{``}{1980}\text{''}}{\text{``}{1980}\text{''}}\) (= 0.515...) or \(\dfrac{3000 - \text{``}{1980}\text{''}}{\text{``}{1980}\text{''}} \times 100\) or \(\dfrac{3000}{\text{``}{1980}\text{''}}\) (= 1.515…) or \(\dfrac{3000}{\text{``}{1980}\text{''}} \times 100\) (= 151.5…) or \(\dfrac{3000}{\text{``}{1980}\text{''}} \times 100 - 100\) | M1 |
| Correct answer scores full marks (unless from obvious incorrect working) Answer: 51.5 | A1 |
