Higher November 2021 Paper 1 Q18
18. In an experiment, the volume, V, of gas in a container is inversely proportional to the pressure, P, put upon it.

At the start of the experiment, a gas has a volume of 4 m3 when the pressure put upon it is 1020 N/m2.
(a) Find the volume of this gas when the pressure put upon it is 1360 N/m2. [4]
(b) Find the pressure put upon the gas when its volume is 1·2 m3. [2]
